Corokia Phantom
Botanical
Corokia x virgata
Description
‘Phantom’ is an attractive new dense growing Corokia with intense dark chocolate–black foliage with silvery tomentum on the undersides of the foliage & a light dusting on the new growth & stems. The colourful foliage is complemented with small star shaped yellow flowers – followed in autumn by colourful red berries. This colourful selection forms an attractive medium sized ornamental shrub ideally suited for use as a small hedge or for topiary work in today's smaller gardens. Happy in fertile well-drained soils in full Sun to part shade, tolerant of extremely dry & salt winds, making it a popular choice for coastal shelter planting. Trim to maintain a good bushy shape. Hardy. 1.2 x 1m
