Abelia x grandiflora
Description
‘Kaleidoscope’ is a colourful new compact evergreen Abelia. The key characteristics of this plant are its wicked compact habit & bright multicoloured foliage. New leaves emerge bright yellow with a light green centre in the spring, gradually changing to golden yellow with a green centre in the summer. Autumn foliage colours to wonderful bright oranges and fiery reds. The foliage does not scorch or bleach in full sun. To complement the foliage the plant is massed with light pink buds which open to small, white tubular flowers from late spring. ‘Kaleidoscope’ is the ideal choice for colourful low maintenance modern containers on the deck or patio, as a low accent plant in the garden / modern landscape.
