Cercis Ace of Hearts
Botanical
Cercis canadensis
Description
‘Ace of Hearts’ is an exciting new Cercis selection with uniquely different foliage configuration. It’s most unique feature is the way the leaves are stack on the stems - reminiscent of shingles on a roof. A really unique plant! ‘Ace of Hearts’ forms a compact tree with a dense, dome-shaped canopy. The original plant is only 3.6m tall by 4.5m wide in 8+ years. ‘Ace of Hearts’ provides a riot of colour in early spring even before the foliage emerges with clusters of light violet blooms. A great small tree perfectly suited to today’s smaller gardens. Hardy. 3.6 x 4.5m
